You need to get help from people who show Tennessee Walking Horses - go to the TWH website and check for their rules and regulations - what kind of classes you will be riding in should indicate what type of training she needs. As for shoes, don't is my advice - if she has good feet, just keep them trimmed and leave them alone - nature never intended for horses to be shod and their feet are much healthier without nails driven into them. Check and see if there are horse clubs in your area and ask them for help - most people are more than willing to help out if you will ask. Good luck and enjoy your mare.
