Stable vices are caused ...quite simply from unnatural living conditions...such as living in a stable/barn. All vices are caused from this...most likely combined with shoeing which causes chronic pain and some sort of inflamation at some time.
Some horses manifest this in weaving, cribbing, kicking, biting, digging, biting themselves....etc etc. We have even seen horses that are turned out and have 'paddock' vices such as walking in circles, aggressiveness towards others ...etc.

You should look at what a horse needs to be physiologically and physcologically correct and any detterant from that will cause vices.

: Im doing an animal care assignment and I need to find out what causes stable vices, i have searched the net but am struggling to find a decent source of imformation which covers mild ones such as kicking the stable door and more serieos ones such as Windsucking..
: Can anyone help me please?
