Helping Stop Abuse and Neglect

Angels Haven Horse Rescue is committed to helping end the pain and suffering many horses experience either through ignorance or the blatant cruelty of their owners.

In the best of cases we can educate the horse owner on proper care and feeding of their animal, in the worst of cases we will offer to purchase the horse to remove it as quickly as possible into a good environment.

It is sad that Ohio Law is slow, and rarely protects the life of abused animals. We will purchase abused , neglected and slaughter bound horses and give them a chance at life they may never have had.

Many rescues only accept donated horses and charge a fee to take them, we believe that every potentially adoptable horse should have a good chance at life. We will purchase the horses in the worst condition, from the owners who don't care. We won't charge them a fee they would never pay, we will pay them to help save their horse and find that horse a wonderful home.

Many rescues accept healthy and adoptable horses as their focus, we will accept the horses that have no chance, that have owners who don't care where they go or even if they live.

If you know of a horse that is in sub- standard conditions, not being fed properly or not receiving vet care we will do our best to help change those conditions through educating the owner , or purchasing the horse or pony.
